Bobbi Bear
Bobbi Bear upholds the rights of sexually abused children. The abuse of children in South Africa continues to grow and HIV/AIDS in children is one of the results. As a volunteer you are educated to help these children to continue with their daily lives after their trauma.
Bobbi Bear was started by Jackie Branfield, an activist who dedicated herself to the rights of women. She realized that child abuse was left unpunished and sometimes even unnoticed. She developed a way to help these children using a Bobbi Bear toy, to help the children talk about their trauma. This ensures that the offender is punished, the child receives medical attention and the trauma is dealt with.
