Be More introduces Be Buddy

The statement 'Involved people make a difference', can be read several times on this website. And who is more involved than volunteers who have just returned from one of Be More's projects? Thus, the decision to involve former volunteers with the preparation of new volunteers was an easy one. Be More proudly presents the Be Buddy.

"What's it like, working with children from such a difficult background? What kind of clothes should I take? What happened at the project this past month? How do I raise money?" These are all questions that volunteers ask in the weeks and months before they leave. They are questions with a simple answers, but they are answers which can resound much deeper if they are real stories, from fomer volunteers.

Volunteers who have just returned, who have just had the experience of a lifetime, often aren't finished with their project. My head is still in Africa, is often heard. Most of them not only want to know how their project is doing, or the program that they started, but they also feel a great need to share their story with others.

Be More therefore introduces the Be Buddy: former volunteers with a passion, who are full of stories, who are willing to share their experience with new volunteers, who are just about to leave on their journey. Every new volunteer will get his or her own Be Buddy and together they will form a team and prepare for a new Be More experience.

Involved people make a difference. Involved volunteers make a big difference.
