Why pay?
Why does it cost you money to volunteer? Shouldn't people be glad you are coming at all? These are questions that a lot of volunteers ask and rightly so.
The answer is simple. The projects that you will be volunteering at have very little money even to cover their own costs. No matter how much they may need your help, they can not afford to cover the costs of hosting volunteers. Therefore, these expenses are covered by volunteer donations.
