Volunteers at the Dream Centre

Volunteers are important to the Dream Centre, but even more important to the patients. In a society, where the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS is still a big problem, attention, encouragement, conversation and love from a volunteer are often some of the few bright spots in a patient's day.

In addition, volunteers are of great importance in the care and nursing of patients. The Dream Centre is largely dependent on donations for its existence, and there certainly is no abundance of personnel. By having volunteers help in the nursing work, organizing activities, doing laundry, preparing food and much more, the Dream Centre can ensure that the patients get the care they need.

For the Dream Centre we are not only looking for ‘regular’ volunteers, but also for volunteers with a medical background. Nursing, physiotherapy, medical science, social studies, psychology, etc. are all areas for which there is great need. Even without a medical background your help is very welcome!
