Volunteer Activities at I Care
What do volunteers do at I Care?
- At school: Volunteers assist the teachers in the I Care school and help the boys with their homework. Each child follows the curriculum at their own speed and will need a lot of individual tutoring.
- Sports and games: After school there is time for leisure activities. Sports coaching is an important part of your voluntary work as football is a big part of the boys' life. The boys love learning new sports and games as well.
- Activities: Volunteers teach the boys many other activities such as dancing, arts+crafts, getting to know a library, camping, going to the movies etc. As a volunteer you will help organize these extracurricular activities.
- Foster parents: The I Care foster parents benefit from volunteer support in caring for the boys and taking care of the household. Sharing skills and personal expertise with the foster parents is also a great way to help out.
- What else... Everyday at I Care is different.You should be prepared for unexpected events and enjoy spontaneity.
