Ready 4 Life Holiday Program

'Achieve universal primary education.' That's one of the Millennium Development Goals - eight goals that, by 2015, will lead to a better world, with less poverty and inequality. And as a volunteer, you can help make this goal a reality!

Ready 4 Life is working hard to achieve this goal with her Secondary Schools and Back 2 School programs. Soon however, the holidays start and schools will be closed. This doesn't mean Ready 4 Life stops working - on the contrary.

In the months October, November, December and January a Holiday Program is run for the children who live in Helenvale, a very poor area near Port Elizabeth, South Africa. At a centre in the middle of the community, all kinds of activities are offered: sports, games, drama and education. The goal is to get to know the children, win their trust, get to know more about their home situation and finally motivate them to go (back) to school.

We are looking for volunteers!
